Common Back Conditions We Treat
Chronic Low Back Pain
Lower back pain can affect the muscles, joints and other structures around the lumbar spine. Symptoms may develop suddenly or gradually and can make everyday activities uncomfortable.
Physiotherapy focuses on understanding your symptoms, restoring comfortable movement and building your confidence with activity.
Sciatica and Nerve-Related Leg Pain
Sciatica describes symptoms associated with irritation or compression of nerve roots in the lower back. It can cause pain travelling into the buttock or leg, sometimes accompanied by tingling, numbness or weakness.
A detailed assessment helps identify whether your symptoms are consistent with nerve involvement and whether further medical investigation is required.

Disc-Related Back Pain
Intervertebral discs can sometimes contribute to back pain or nerve-related symptoms. However, disc changes on scans are also common in people without pain.
Treatment is guided by your symptoms, examination findings and functional limitations rather than imaging findings alone.
Facet Joint Pain
Often called facet joint syndrome or facet joint arthropathy, a condition which affects the small connecting joints of each vertebra either through degenerative change, inflammation or injury.
Spinal Stenosis
A narrowing of the spaces for which nerves exit the spine leading to pain when standing or extending the spine, often improving with sitting and flexion.
We help you identify manageable changes to your daily routine and develop the strength and physical capacity needed for work, exercise and everyday life.
